March 31, 2002  XP PowerToys

On Thursday, Leo talked about Windows XP PowerToys, and how it is no longer available at the Microsoft web site. It was originally available right after XP was put on sale to the public, but it was removed from the site soon after. microsoft claims that it is making improvements to the program, but it has been five months. However, you can still get it from many other sites if you search on Google. One of them is this page at Annoyances.org.

I haven't upgraded to XP myself yet, so if anyone out there has used XP PowerToys, let me know how it worked for you in the comments section.

For more info about the features of Powertoys, try this site: Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for Windows.
